A native of the coal mining town, Gillette, Wyoming, Josh Dorr grew up playing sports. He went on to play football at the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota. After sustaining multiple sports injuries, Josh decided to retire from football & moved to Nashville in 2010 after being offered an internship with a record label. After moving to Nashville, Josh decided to pick up guitar and began writing music himself. In 2014, Josh signed a publishing deal with Ole Music Publishing and has been part of their family ever since.
In the last year, Josh has been writing for other artists while working on his own music as well. He will be releasing his EP, “Sundancer” this November. “Sundancer” is a
culmination of stories crafted through the ups and downs of the last few years. The term itself has roots in healing and renewal. These songs show the renewal Josh has experienced through the last year and define who he is as an artist and a songwriter.
